I remember we went… several times, not just me but many professors, they would stop us, take us, bring us to the station, and beat us. We also had the anniversary of November 28, across all of Kosovo, we coordinated with LASH, at that time, it was the League of Teachers [and] writers, the Association of Kosovo, to hold the event on the 25th [of November] throughout Kosovo. But they found out about it, and they came, we were in Klina e Epërme, they came, took us, tied us up in front of all the students, took us to the police, and then to court (laughs). I’m not the type to complain, but when they took us to the police to check us, they kicked me with a boot right here {points to his leg}, right here.
At that time, we had decided to put up pictures of Skënderbeu in all the schools across Kosovo. And when they came, they found them. The police came with those armored vehicles and everything, put us in a room, then piled us up like that, it was like a stack, one on top of the other, almost, in the police station. They even took me to court. Luckily, and I say luckily, one of my students happened to be Montenegrin, because the others were sentenced to up to three years.
